Celebrating the Fourth of July in Missoula: 2018

It is hard to think of a day more filled with family, friends, and patriotic festivities than the Fourth of July. It is a day where Americans come together and celebrate this beautiful country that we get to call home. In Missoula, the 4th of July is chock full of events to entertain visitors and locals alike.

Missoula Osprey Fireworks Show

Kick off your Independence Day celebrations with a special July 3rd fireworks show at the Missoula Osprey baseball game! Make your way down to the ballpark for all-American fun and cheer on the team as well as enjoy the fireworks display to get you in the spirit for the 4th!

42nd Annual 4th at the Fort

Celebrating Independence Day at Fort Missoula is a time-honored tradition in Missoula. The day starts off with a pancake breakfast, and then as the afternoon heats up, the list of activities is full of exciting and family-friendly events including: old-fashioned children's games, a dunk tank, horse-drawn wagon rides, craft vendors, scavenger hunts (for kids and adults!), and historical presentations. Out to Lunch

Out To Lunch happens every Wednesday during the summer months in Missoula, and it just so happens that this year the 4th falls on a Wednesday. Out To Lunch is a great family event featuring live music and food trucks. On the Fourth of July, though, Out To Lunch has some special features including: a presentation of the colors, a performance of the national anthem, and a wagon wheel decorating contest for kids with a parade to follow! 2018 Arlee Powwow Esyapquyni

The 120th Annual Arlee Powwow Esyapquyni runs from July 3-July 8, 2018. The Arlee Powwow Esyapqeyni is the premier annual celebration of the Salish and Pend d’Oreille tribes, sponsored by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Nation. Activities include traditional dance competitions, singing and drumming and a big July 4th parade. There are also many vendors with hand made beaded crafts and food booths, which include a variety of Indian Tacos for sale. Click here for more information.

Fourth Fest

Southgate Mall hosts a large Independence Day celebration starting at 7pm featuring live music, food trucks, a beer tent, and activities for the entire family. A large fireworks display will start at 10:30. Click here for more information.
