Post Modern Realities by Jadyn Velazquez

Fri Jan 11 2019, 05:30 PM - 08:30 PM

Join the ZACC in welcoming the works of Jadyn Velazquez! Jadyn will be filling our main gallery with amazingly small detailed scenes. “I like to recreate past places I have seen, the ravaged and worn houses tell a story of the past residents. I also like to play with small spaces and what can fit into these tiny tool boxes. To me it’s similar to splicing a picture and recreating it three dimensionally. My original interests were in Blacksmithing, after 10 years of smithing, I went back the University to get my MFA in Set Design. Creating a model in 1/4” scale and then building the set, started my interest in these tiny scenes. Moving around the United States also inspired recreating dilapidated sheds and houses.”

The Post Modern Realities show will be on display in the ZACC’s main gallery all of January. If you are unable to attend the gallery opening, we are open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm, and works can be viewed during these hours.
