Description and Times for MUD’s Earth Day Celebration at Free Cycles

To make Earth Day a success it takes a lot of different things coming together at the right time. One of those things is volunteers. Volunteers help us provide a high value experience to all those in attendance and the event wouldn’t be the same without them. Please come join us and celebrate with us on earth day as a volunteer in one, or more, of the rolls below.

Day Before - April 21st

2-6pm - Prep site

Earth Day - April 22nd

11-1pm - Set Up

1-3pm - Set Up

1-3pm - Set Up: Zero Waste station

3-5pm - Zoo City Apparel helper

3-5pm - MUD Kids activities

3-5pm - Zero Waste Ambassador/General

5-7pm - Zoo City Apparel helper

5-7pm - MUD Kids activities

5-7pm - Zero Waste Ambassador/General

7-9pm - Clean up

Duties may include but are not limited to

Table and chair set up
Comradery building
Moving of bicycles and bicycle parts
Assembling a decorative door display
Sustainably gathering materials
Educating about zero waste
Capacity monitoring of receptacles
General staffing support
Screen Printing assistance

Kids Activities:
Recycled paper making
Decomposition timeline
Potential for a Lorax Puppet show for the right volunteer
