Beers of Summer

Beers of Summer

There is nothing like a cold beer to cool you off in the summertime. In Missoula, we live by the changing seasons and changing flavors on tap. Here is just a small list of some of our favorites. But don’t let this list limit you. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for new flavors that the breweries roll out.

Summer Honey Beer from Big Sky Brewery

A delicious treat on one of Missoula’s hot summer days. Sweet aroma of citrus and honey and it taste just as good. You’ll hear a lot of Missoulians referring to Summer Honey as the official flavor of summer.

Sip and Go Naked Beer from Tamarack Brewing Company

With its perfectly harmonized aroma and taste of apricot, this makes for a fantastic light summer bree. Pairs perfectly with a relaxing evening on the deck after a long day in the sun.

Dancing Trout Beer from Bayern Brewery

This little number pours smooth with an amazingly rich aroma. Light bodied with a hint of honey and goes down smooth. Great way to end a day of slaying trout on the Bitterroot River. (See what we did there?)

Scepter Head Beer from Draught Works Brewery

Fruity scent with notes of citrus, apricot and peach. Refresh yourself after a long week headed into the weekend.

Ginseng Pale Ale from Kettle House Brewing Company

Aroma is an earthly herbal spice. This will keep you going in the blistering heat, a definite pick me up!

Wild Mile Wheat Beer from Flathead Lake Brewery

Zesty wheat aroma with some soft lemon, orange, and spiced undertones. Terrific for relaxing in Caras Park watching the kayakers at Brennan’s Wave and listing to live music during Out to Lunch or Downtown Tonight.

If you're giving dry a try this month, Missoula has plenty of spots for mocktails. Check out some of our favorites
