Summer is here and along with summer comes some great opportunities for military families in the Missoula area. Blue Star Museums is a program which offers free admission to museums for military members and their families. The program was created by Blue Star Families and has over 2,000 museums, art centers, and exhibits across the country participating.
The list of Blue Star Museums in Montana is growing, and here in Missoula there are 2 museums which participate in the program. The Children's Museum and The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula. If you are active duty, National Guard, or a Reserve service member you can get in to these museums for free this summer along with up to 5 family members. Also, the Missoula Art Museum has free admission every day, for everyone.
Free admission to military members and their families is available Memorial Day - Labor Day 2014 at Blue Star Museums.
There are many museums around Montana that participate in the Blue Star Museums program and some are within a mini day trip of Missoula.
