Fall Fun: Pumpkins & Mazes & Ghosts, Oh My!

Halloween is just weeks away, and that means it is time for some festive fall fun! Missoula has a number of Halloween themed events to tickle the fancy of any little ghosts or goblins, from family fun to haunted, scream filled thrills.

Pumpkin Run 5K and Kids Dash

Run Wild Missoula's Pumpkin Run 5K and Kids Dash is Saturday October 22nd. The kids dash starts at 10:00am, and the 5K starts at 10:22 at Silver Park. Get in the Halloween spirit at this festive family fun run.

Missoula's Great Pumpkin Patch

Every year, Missoula's Alliance Church hosts a volunteer run pumpkin patch. Select your perfect jack-o-lantern in this family friendly, festival fall environment. The patch is open from 2:30pm - 7:00pm Mondays through Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm on Saturdays,and 12:00 pm - 7:00pm on Sundays.

Missoula Haunted House

Held at the Missoula County Fairgrounds on the corner of Brooks and Russell, the Missoula Haunted House is a well planned and creepy production that has been frightening locals and tourists alike for the past five years. Experience the Missoula Haunted House on Fridays and Saturdays starting the week of October 13th, 2017, and from October 27th-31st. They also have kids hours with reduced pricing. As an added bonus, the proceeds to go Imagine Missoula, so you can do something good and have spooky fun at the same time!

Missoula Maze

Open Wednesdays through Sundays in October with a special opening on Halloween, the Missoula Maze is a great place to spend an evening of festive Halloween fun. Featuring a pumpkin patch, obstacle course, petting zoo, food and drink, and, of course, a large corn maze. Get lost in the rows and have fun with friends and family finding your way out. Hours vary, so check their schedule and plan your outing.

Haunted Hayrides

The Daly Mansion in Hamilton hosts Haunted Hayrides on October 27 and 28, 2017. Hay wagons will take you around the mansion's grounds, and some walking will be required. Get out if you dare! This ride is not recommended for children under 6, and children who frighten easily should not participate. This is truly a creepy experience, and it will put you in the Halloween mood. Hot cider and cocoa will be on sight, too.

Family Fall Fest

On Saturday October 21st from 1:00 - 4:00pm, come on down to Fort Missoula Regional Park for their annual Family Fall Fest. For a suggested donation of $1, have all the fall fun you want with apple presses, live music, face painting, hay rides, piles of leaves, and more!
