Tour of Montana: 100 Days of Cycling

The Tour of Montana is more than a single cycling race, it is a 100 day celebration of cycling in Montana.  Starting in April with the Fantastical Cycle Parade and ending in July with The Big Ride.  Tour of Montana has an event for every type of cyclist.  Visitors can also take in the fun of 4-Days of professional, amateur, junior, citizen races, and a Cycling Experience Expo at Caras Park!

Montana Bicycle Film Festival - May

The Roxy Theater is hosting award-winning films featuring cycling adventures, and documentaries.  Films run every Wednesday in May.

Paint The Town Cycling - June

Throughout the month of June is #PaintTheTownCycling.  Where neighborhoods, business and local shops are encouraged to show off just how much Missoula loves cycling.

Cycling Experience Expo - July

Watch the professionals race, attend workshops and enjoy the local food and live entertainment all in one location, Caras Park.  Caras Park is the center of activity for the 4-day weekend of events happening July 16-19th.

  • Wednesday, July 15th - Missoula's Out to Lunch.  The tour of Montana will have a table at Caras Park as part of the Out to Lunch series.  Sign up to volunteer, get the full weekends schedule of events, and learn more about the Tour of Montana.
  • Thursday, July 16th - Downtown ToNight at Caras Park.  The Tour of Montana is the to sponsor for this Downtown ToNight.  They will be on hand to answer questions about the Tour of Montana.  This will also be the location for Packet Pickups for the Tour of Montana, and The Big Ride.  The ToMT/DNA Swag Wagon will be there handing out goodies as well.
  • Friday, July 17th - Party at the Park.  The Tour of Montana is throwing a party for the entire community.  Featuring beer from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, proceeds benefitting CASA of Missoula.  Music by Blue Collar, meet the professional riders, a bike disco, and more.  Saturday, July 18th - Downtown/Hip Strip Criterium.  Racing events begin at 1pm, and should finish around 8:30pm.  There are races for everyone, professional and amateur including a kids race.
  • Sunday, July 19th - The Big Ride.  The Big Ride starts at 7am and ends at Caras Park for a party with great food and entertainment.

The Big Ride

July 19, 2015, is a mass-start cycling event that begins and ends at Caras Park in downtown Missoula.  This Big Ride under The Big Sky is going to be an event you do not want to miss.  This is a non-competitive ride.  Bonus, it ends with the biggest cycling party of the year at Caras Park.

Femme/Velo - July

July 19-20th in Whitefish, Montana is a 100km all women's ride.
