Each Homecoming, the University of Montana Alumni Association honors outstanding alumni with Distinguished Alumni Awards. Recipients are nominated by fellow alumni and friends and go through a selection process.
Distinguished Alumni are individuals who have set themselves apart in a particular field and who have brought honor to the University of Montana, the state or the nation. The Board of Directors Awards Committee focuses on career achievement, professional honors, professional membership, community service and UM or UMAA recognition.
The award ceremony will be held on Friday, October 11 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom. A reception is to follow with appetizers and a cash bar.
