First Friday at the MT Museum of Art and Culture

  • Where: Montana Museum of Art and Culture 795 S. 5th St. E. Missoula, MT
  • When: Nov 7th, 2025 at 04:00 PM

The first Friday of each month, Missoula galleries and local businesses open their doors with art exhibits, live music, and special events. In our mission to offer accessible student resources, we’re bringing the tradition to campus.

The MMAC is hosting a free public First Friday reception featuring light hors d'oeuvres and artwork on view including “Standing in the River: Sara Mast," “Homage: the Legacy of Kristi Hager,” and “Selections from the Permanent Collection: Crista Ames Sculptures and Prints from the Ackerman Foundation.”

The Artist Collective, a UM student group, will also be hosting the very first drop-in craft night in the MMAC basement library from 5-7; the space can accommodate low-mess non-liquid craft projects. Spots are limited- RSVP here!

UM students stop by and sign up for a free UM student membership at the front desk with your Griz Card or 790# and receive free merch.
