Just one hour north of Missoula on US Hwy 93 you see the last remnants of Glacial Lake Missoula. As you drop over the hill, the view of beautiful Flathead Lake is awe inspiring. It is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi and the town of Polson is at its foot. After first seeing the lake, the very next two exits are Memory Lane and easy access to the Miracle of America Museum, which is the largest and most diversified museum in Montana.
