Ever wanted to walk through the woods and know what plants you can eat or harvest for medicine? Come deepen your connection with the Last Best Place by joining Sydney and Cathryn of Wild Wanders as they introduce you to the region's many edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms! They lead foraging walks, teach wild food and medicine making classes, and host events surrounding intuitive plant connection. They also offer private excursions and land consultations, foraging services for restaurants or events, and many wild foraged products for purchase, including an annual CSA (Community Supported Apothecary) subscription.
Foraging walks are available around the Missoula area and cover plant identification, medicinal properties, use cases and preparations, and anecdotes from their experience. Extra emphasis is placed on relationship to place, reciprocity, stewardship, and belonging. They also always bring a little snack and beverage to showcase the deliciousness of wild foods in real time. Tasting is believing! Fun, informative, and inspiring for all! No experience necessary.
Makery classes are have seasonal availability and can include a wide range of products (oils, salves, scrubs, oxymels, honeys, elixirs, spice blends, hydrosols, essential oils, etc) with participants going through the whole process of creating a product, learning best practices for success and medicinal qualities of the plants they are working with. Makery classes can also be combined with a foraging experience to craft a truly one-of-a-kind body product or herbal remedy just for you and your family. Please contact for inquiries!
