The ZACC at 216 W Main St // Saturday // November 9 // 12:15 – 2 PM // FREE David J. Spear photographer, teacher and director of A VOICE: Art Vision & Outreach In Community Education, will lead a panel discussion on the Pink Dress Photography Project on November 9 from 12:15-2 PM at the Zootown Arts Community Center. First we’ll hear from the artists and community outreach professionals who created, curated, and carried out the project. Afterward, some of the young photographers from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai communities who contributed to the PDP will speak about their process and experience. This is an amazing opportunity for the Missoula community to meet and hear from those who conceived of this international project and then brought it to life. The panel will share stories and anecdotes about the work in each community which includes, New York City, Los Angeles (CA), Chapias (Mexico), and the Flathead Nation. Don’t miss this lively discussion on the power of art-making and collaboration. Pink Dress Panel participants are Jennifer Finley, Lyn Pentecost, and David J. Spear.
