Cheap Date Night

MPL’s monthly movie night is back! Come enjoy a recently released feature film during Cheap Date Night, the 3rd Friday each month in the library’s Cooper Room. Doors are open from 6:15 – 6:45 and the film starts at 6:30; late entry is not allowed. Attendees must enter from the library’s parking garage, all other doors are locked. July 15 July’s film is Belfast, Academy Award winner for Best Original Screenplay. A young boy and his working-class Belfast family experience the tumultuous late 1960s. Running time is 97 minutes. August 19 Enjoy a recently released feature film during Cheap Date Night, the 3rd Friday each month in the library’s Cooper Room August’s film is Dog, a road-trip comedy. Two hard-charging former Army Rangers paired against their will — Briggs and a Belgian Malinois named Lulu — race down the Pacific Coast in hopes of making it to a fellow soldier’s funeral on time. Running time is 101 minutes.
