Featuring an eclectic mix of street photography, stained-glass-like photographic art, and experimental back-lit Celtic-inspire artwork, this will easily be one of Alan’s biggest art shows with around 50 works of art.

Originally from Britain, Alan’s photographic journey began around the age of 10 when, on a family vacation, he saw a pond that inspired his natural ability to see light and composition. This then sparked an enduring passion with art, and he began a lifelong experimentation with printing and the best technology to create the images he sought.

During a student exchange trip to America in 1970, Alan decided to permanently move to the states, which then led to a career as a forestry professor at the University of Montana. As a professor, everywhere he went, Alan still carried a camera and continued to experiment with darkroom processes. As soon as he was able to retire from education, he pursued his artistic passion, and since, he has continued to win international recognition.

Alan believes in the healing power of beauty and the therapeutic power of pleasing imagery that includes humour, whimsy and simple human interest. He hopes his photographs, marker art, and digital images illuminate those themes. Above all, he will tell you, he does it for the joy and creativity that art brings to life. A lifetime passion has become a full-time occupation.
