The Olympic games are inspiring and a great way to introduce folks to new winter sports! Have you longed to learn more about ice sports? Our festive Winter Games Day will allow you to try your hand at some of them (and also earn points toward the Winter Game Day Public Competition)!
Sign up for each session on our DASH system. Sessions are $7 per person, except for Sled Hockey, which is free. Participants MUST register in advance as walk-ups will not be taken. Spectators may attend any event at no charge.
Try Skating, Session 1: 12:30-1:30pm (Learn the basics of skating, with on-ice coaches and performance demos from the Missoula Figure Skating Club)
Try Skating, Session 2: 2:00-3:00pm (Learn the basics of skating, with on-ice coaches and spins and jumps demos from the Missoula Figure Skating Club)
Try Women’s Hockey: 2:15-3:15pm (this stick and puck session will have volunteers from the Women’s Hockey Association of Missoula helping out)
Try Sled Hockey: 3:00-4:15pm (volunteers from Missoula Adaptive Recreation and Sports will be on-hand to fit sleds)
Try Curling: 5:00-8:00pm (Learn the basics of the game and throw a few stones during a 45-minute session with the Missoula Curling Club)
USA vs. Canada Hockey Game: 4:30-5:45pm – Watch local adult players face off in this battle of the border
We also have the Missoula Bruins JV and Varsity teams playing in the evening – JV at 6 pm and Varsity at 8:15 pm. Come cheer the home teams!
