Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) is 1 of only 4 airports in the U.S. — and the only one in Montana — certified as a sensory inclusive facility through KultureCity. This certification helps ensure a more welcoming travel experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism, PTSD, or dementia.
MSO offers trained staff, quiet spaces, and sensory tools to support travelers who may find airports overwhelming. The airport also participates in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, allowing individuals with non-visible disabilities to discreetly indicate they may need extra help, time, or understanding.
At Missoula Montana Airport, travelers can find additional help navigating the terminal through its Airport Ambassador Program—call 406-728-4381 to coordinate assistance. Those traveling with service animals will find a designated Service Animal Relief Area (SARA) near Gate 1, along with outdoor relief space northwest of the terminal.
For in-flight services like wheelchair support or medical device accommodations, please contact your airline directly in advance to ensure a smooth travel experience.
MSO is committed to making air travel as comfortable, intuitive, and inclusive as possible for individuals of all abilities.
