Visitors are invited to join resident artist Candace Nicol Garlock in an intimate printmaking session, where they can watch her build rich layers of color and texture on a gelli plate before pulling a nature-inspired monotype print. Guided step-by-step through rolling ink, adding stencils and textures, and making that first exciting “pull,” each guest then creates a one-of-a-kind gelli monotype of their own to take home as a tangible reminder of their studio experience with the artist.
This Open Studio setting allows for interested participants to arrive anytime between 10:00 and 2:00.
Registration is required, but hours are flexible. Plan to spend at least 45 minutes on your print.
