Closing Reception & Artist Talk with Bonnie Tarses

  • Where: Confluence Center 119 West Main Street Missoula, Montana
  • When: Jun 26th, 2026 at 6:00 pm

Torrents Art invites the public to celebrate the closing of two extraordinary textile exhibitions by
local artists Bonnie Tarses and Jennifer Leutzinger on Friday, June 26, from 6:00–8:00 PM at
The Confluence Center in downtown Missoula.
The evening will feature an artist talk by Bonnie Tarses beginning at 6:30 PM, offering visitors an
opportunity to learn more about her exhibition, 66 Years, But Who's Counting?, and her lifelong
passion for weaving. Tarses' vibrant, colorful works demonstrate decades of dedication to the art of weaving, which she describes as the very opposite of destruction—a practice rooted in
creation, connection, and the sustaining forces of life.
Alongside Tarses' work, visitors can experience Jennifer Leutzinger's exhibition, Pershing
Avenue, a collection of larger-than-life quilts that transform memories, nostalgia, and personal
history into joyful textile landscapes. Leutzinger's handcrafted works celebrate the magic of
piecing together small fragments to create something deeply personal and uniquely her own.
