Glacier Ice Rink is a great option for skaters of all experience levels and ages. Located at the Missoula County Fairgrounds, Glacier Ice Rink has both an indoor and outdoor rink. With reasonable rates on rentals and public skating available daily from September through May, the whole family will have fun gliding around the large arena. In addition, the rink hosts local hockey and curling leagues, making it a one-stop-shop for all things ice sports.
Since 1975 thanks to the efforts of the local community, visitors and locals alike can enjoy a serene outdoor ice-skating experience at Pineview Park, located off Rattlesnake Drive just north of town. With stunning mountain views as the backdrop, this small, natural ice rink offers public skating from 9am to 10pm, unless closed for maintenance, though the rink is reserved for volunteers on weekdays from 4pm to 6 pm and weekends 9am to 11am. The Children's Corner is always open! There are no rental options at Pineview, so be sure to bring your own equipment. This is a natural rink, to skate at your own risk. From January 30th through early spring, the UM oval transforms into a community hub for winter activities with an ice skating rink, fire pits, ice domes and a gaming den. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the amenities are cost-free with the exception of any rentals, and with so many activities, it is a perfect space for all to enjoy! Skate rentals are available at the UM Game Hub. Enjoy a pickup hockey or broomball game, take a sit by a roaring fire and enjoy the company of our charming community.
Located 50 miles northeast of Missoula, Seeley Lake is a charming lakeside town in Missoula County that takes the phrase "winter wonderland" seriously. So seriously, in fact, that the community came together to form a Community Ice Rink. This volunteer and community-driven effort boasts free access, free skates, a safe environment and easy community access and parking for the enjoyment of all in the winter months.
