Portland, OR-based sister folk trio Joseph will return to Missoula for their first headlining show at The Wilma on May 15, 2023.
Consisting of sisters Allison, Meegan, and Natalie Closner — Joseph creates a mesmerizing and hypnotic sound with their magical vocal harmonies.
Their self-released debut Native Dreamer Kin came out in 2014. In 2016, they released I’m Alone, No You’re Not, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Their first single, “White Flag”, also came out in 2016 and reached #1 on the Adult Alternative Songs and was on Spotify’s US Viral Top Ten. Their most recent full-length album Good Luck, Kid was released in 2019 and reached number four on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.
On April 28, 2023, Joseph will release their highly anticipated new album The Sun. It builds on its predecessor’s cinematic pop, bringing a thrilling new energy into each of the album’s ten elegantly sculpted tracks. Joseph worked with acclaimed producers Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, First Aid Kit) and Christian “Leggy” Langdon (Amos Lee, BANKS) to build an irresistibly vibrant sound ranging from moody grandeur to pure anthemic glory.
Joseph has performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Later… with Jools Holland, Ellen, CONAN, CBS This Morning, and NBC’s TODAY. They’ve landed on massive festival bills at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, Sasquatch Festival, Glastonbury, and Outside Lands, among others.
