The Confluence Center (Western Montana's Home for Nonprofit Events) art program Torrents is thrilled to present a magical evening of art and community! This month we proudly present two favorite local artists, Linds Sanders and Lady Pajama.
First up, we present Linds Sanders, a multidisciplinary artist with her solo show Backstory. Backstory is a love note to the bravery it takes to be counterculture. This exhibition celebrates the act of turning away, and in doing so, highlights the marvel of turning towards something new. To create these pieces, she engaged deeply with each individual who is currently undertaking the challenging task of turning away and forging new paths into the unknown.
Our second show is by another multidisciplinary artist, Lady Pajama, with her show Everything, which celebrates…well everything! Ladypajama mixes paint, pencils, pens, and collage materials, creating scenes that present ordinary objects and characters in a new dimension. Rather than working toward an end product, she tries to capture emotion and authenticity by just jumping in without a plan.
The opening will take place First Friday, October 4th at the Confluence Center at 119 W Main St, Missoula, MT, and runs 5-8pm. Free snacks and drinks provided, plus enjoy the Deli Arepa food truck out back! Also featuring live music by John Floridis & Jennifer Slayden. The exhibit will remain on display through October 25th, and can be seen by appointment through the Center: 406-926-6526
