Celebrate the winter solstice with a cosmic adventure. We’ll hike uphill a short distance from the Sunlight Trailhead until we reach an open view of the night sky. Then, we’ll spend 45 minutes learning winter constellations and scanning for deep-sky objects like the Andromeda Galaxy and the Orion Nebula. After pondering our place in the universe, we’ll head back to our warm terrestrial haunts. This event depends on clear skies; if it’s cloudy on the 20th, we’ll try again on the 21st.
