Women Bike Missoula - Bike Travel Winter Social

  • Where: Goodworks Place 129 W. Alder St. Missoula, Montana
  • When: Mar 12th, 2026 at 6:30 pm

Presentations include representatives of Slowspokes, a Missoula based bikepacking community for trans, non-binary, gender-expansive, and women riders. They will be giving a basic overview of their programming and services, (including a gear library for beginners!) and will talk about their two favorite beginner routes.

Local-ish day trip bike rides to be presented include the Route of the Hiawatha, suitable for the entire family, and Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. Carol hopes to help you wade through some of the logistics she had to figure out last year. Sally will present the Road to the Buffalo, covering a section near the Whitaker Bridge on Johnsrud Park Road. It’s another rail-trail ride over an ancient trail used originally by indigenous tribes to reach buffalo hunting areas, and then by Meriwether Lewis on the return trip to St. Louis. WBM is planning to schedule this ride for later this year.
