“Il Maestro! Works by Morton Levin, A Centennial Celebration” features the work of Morton Levin (1923-2020), a master artist whose artistic journey was impacted by the effects of war, love, family, and teaching. The exhibition presents a selection from the artist’s vast repertoire from the 1930s through 2005, curated by Nicole Maria Evans, Chief Curator & Director of Curatorial Affairs at The Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art in Great Falls, Montana.
Accompanying the exhibition is “Graphic Work by Morton Levin,” a smaller show curated by MMAC Associate Curator and Collections Manager Derick Wycherly in the Michele and Loren Hansen Gallery.
Both exhibitions open with a free public reception from 5-7 PM on June 18 and run through October 17. Curator Nicole Evans will deliver a gallery talk on June 18 at 6 PM.
