The String Orchestra of the Rockies opens its exciting forty-second consecutive season with a program titled “Bach and Beyond,” featuring guest artist Tim Fain, violin, on Sunday, September 13th, at 4:00 p.m. in the UM Music Recital Hall. Tickets are available online at sormt.org/tickets with all remaining ones available for purchase at the door.
Praised by the New York Times for his “technical finesse and lyrical ardor,” Tim Fain will be guest soloist in Bach’s beloved A Minor violin concerto and is joined by SOR Artistic Director Maria Larionoff for a performance of Arvo Pärt’s iconic minimalistic masterpiece Tabula Rasa. Works by Penderecki and selections from Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence will also be included.
