From weekly events and gatherings to a vibrant network of queer-owned and LGBTQ+ friendly businesses, Missoula is a place where everyone can feel at home. We’re proud to host Montana’s largest pride celebration—a week filled with parades, concerts and community connection—and to be home to organizations like the Western Montana LGBTQ+ Community Center and the Montana Two Spirit Society, which provide vital support, advocacy and visibility throughout the valley. In Missoula, belonging isn’t just a value—it’s a way of life.

From local specialty shops selling queer-made goods, to an LGBTQ+ owned bike shop hosting weekly rides throughout the warm season, Missoula has a vibrant, inclusive and accepting economic landscape that works to lift up queer individuals and their creations. Many of our local businesses are vocal allies that foster safe and inclusive spaces for everyone, while a growing number of queer-owned shops and services add their own creativity and voice to our town’s character, giving you plenty of ways to show your support.

Inclusive spaces around town create space for LGBTQ+ individuals to come together for a myriad of events. From concerts and exhibitions, to community runs and hikes. With weekly, monthly and annual gatherings as diverse as the community they celebrate, there’s plenty of ways to integrate yourself into Missoula’s queer network.
Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC)
The Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) is a Missoula-based organization that serves as a safe, creative space and supports the LGBTQ+ community through various programs, events and partnerships.
Queer Run — The Second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m.
This monthly meetup is a 3-5 mile casual fun run/walk open to queer individuals of all abilities who share a love for running and walking within the Missoula community.
Queers Hike Missoula — Weekly/Biweekly at various times
Partnered with the Western Montana LGBTQ+ Community Center, this group offers hikes of varying difficulties depending on the week, often offering options for shorter loops too.
Missoula Pride — Montana’s largest Pride celebration
This week-long festival features live music, events, booths from local vendors and an extravagant parade to celebrate Missoula—and Montana’s—vibrant and thriving LGBTQ+ community.

Slow Spokes — Missoula, Montana’s gender-expansive bikepacking group
Slow Spokes provides resources, community and experiences for non-binary, trans, gender-expansive and women riders of all abilities to have safe, confident, barrier-free fun bikepacking in the Missoula area.
