The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to ensuring the future of elk, all big game, their habitat and America’s hunting heritage. Since 1984, RMEF has worked to conserve one square mile of habitat every day, with a goal of reaching 10 million acres conserved by 2030.
The RMEF Visitor Center is a fun, interactive and educational experience that brings conservation to life through hands-on exhibits and immersive storytelling. Explore the diverse wildlife that thrives across America’s big game country, learn how habitat conservation supports healthy herds and connect with the rich outdoor heritage shared by millions of Americans.
Visitors can hear an elk bugle, test their wildlife knowledge, identify tracks, feel the weight of a real antler and enjoy wildlife conservation films. Additional highlights include impressive trophy elk mounts, a retail shop featuring RMEF and partner gear and an outdoor walking trail. Watch for the white-tailed deer, turkeys, bald eagles, owls, trout and other wildlife that frequent the property.
