Have you ever looked out over the Clark Fork River during the colorful fall, or frosty winter months and thought to yourself, "This is the best place ever."? If so, you were right! Since October, River Travel Magazine has been conducting a survey that stretched across the US to find the Best Holiday River Towns. More than 80 cities made it to the final round and were split into 8 categories, depending on the size. We shared the competition and invited folks who love Missoula as much as we do to vote, and it worked! Drum roll please...not only did Missoula take first place for Best Holiday River Towns in the US with a population of 70,000+, but it also won the contest OVERALL. Go Missoula!
